One lock of hair, one single soul;
Beautiful by itself, yet not quite whole.
Two locks of hair, two souls meet;
Twisting together, to be complete.
Two twisted locks, face life with hope;
As time passes, they struggle to cope.
Two twisted locks, unravel at the ends;
Desperate now, to make ammends.
One strong lock, sent from above;
Calls the twisted locks, to his arms of love
The three strands entwine, creating a braid;
To withstand the winds of life, a fortress is made.
Two locks of hair, the braid, makes them one;
This union of love, not easily undone.
These two souls, come to you from the start;
Lord braid their union, to never part.
