I sit alone, or so I think;
Drifting, waves crashing, I begin to sink.
Yesterday, the future looked so bright;
But today, I can see no light.
I try to fight,to steer the boat;
The waves promise me, I will not float.
I didn't ask to be in this storm;
I feel abandon, my life is torn.
I scream out, "Oh Lord Why?"
Then bury my head and begin to cry.
Then softly, I hear His voice beside me;
"When it is time, I will calm the sea"
"Father, I don't understand"
"Hold fast, this is My plan"
I clutch His robe, I feel His strength;
The waves are now at arms length.
I close my eyes, I sing a praise of Psalm;
Until He lifts His arm, and waters be calm.
