Above the sea the old lighthouse is still standing
Over a hundred years doing a job it was built to do
Rugged and weathered remaining a mystery
A bright beacon bringing lost ships in from the sea.
The whitecap waves rush in from the sea
Like angry foam rolling over and over so free
Hitting the rocks with a swishing sound
And they can be heard echoing all around.
God is our lighthouse from heaven above
With outstretched arms and so full of love
Unlike the lighthouse standing on shore
He is ready to forgive our sins forevermore.
God is the lighthouse shining so bright
Only He can keep our pathway light
With grace He will forgive all sins with love
And His light will lead to heaven above.
