The gates of heaven will open wide
For all who believe to step inside.
Jesus is waiting to forgive your sins,
Ask His forgiveness and walk on in.
Oh how the devil tries to deceive
You and I to make us believe that
Jesus did not die on the cross that way,
That He is not living in heaven today.
Jesus was nailed on the cross, you see.
He died out of love for you and me.
We must kneel to God and pray,
Giving thanks that Jesus is alive today.
What a wonderful day that will be,
When with our Jesus we will see.
Knowing that He will smile and say,
Welcome home, glad you came today.
