Grandma's lilac bushes had tender care
Their lovely fragrance filled the air
Grandma gave God credit for everything
When visitors came by every spring.
Grandma's lilac bushes was beautiful indeed
She planted every bush growing there
Working so hard to keep out every weed
She gave each bush the love they would need.
The beauty of grandma's lilacs were sublime
Walking there I caught my breath every time
Grandma wanted everyone to understand
Her lilac bushes grew by God's helping hand.
