"Sunflowers"
A field of sunflowers so beautiful to see
A creation of God growing free
Sunshine and rain He always brings
He provides for all living things.
Acres and acres of beauty are found
In fields of sunflowers growing all around
Each morning they look east to embrace
The warm morning sun on their face.
Brown faces, yellow petals and leaves of green
Graceful and beautiful sunflowers are seen
Heads move slowly to follow the path of sunlight
Sunflowers are a mystery and a strange delight.
Slowly their heads all turn around in the air
Leaning toward the sunset as if in prayer
By late afternoon they are facing the west
They seem to be getting ready for a night's rest.
