Every bad thought that bothered me
I threw them away yesterday
I let the cool winds blow them away
In the fields of God.
I could hear the lowing of the herds
I listened to the singing of birds
In the leaves of the green trees
And the humming of bees.
My foolish fears that might come to pass
I am casting them all away
Over the sweet-scented grass
In the field of fresh mowed hay.
Among the rustling of wild flowers
Where drowsy sunflowers nod
All new thoughts are born
In the fields with God.
