The day is beginning to close down
The sun is sinking fast
We will have only memories
When this day is past.
A beautiful sunset is slipping away
Soon it will be at rest
Did you thank God for today
And say, Lord, I did my best.
A beautiful sunset is God's artistry
He paints each day of the year
Giving us His blessed assurance
As our Savior we have nothing to fear.
As this beautiful sunset fades
Moonlight will fill the dark skies
God in all His majesty
Will give us another sunrise.
