Walking in the flower garden at sunrise
Lovely butterflies took me by surprise
Fluttering over my flowers before my eyes
A magic sight making my heart sing.
My first butterflies of the day
Gods creations took my breath away
Transparent wings sprinkled with black
Their beauty reflecting in the early sunlight.
The red geraniums they did seek
Drinking the nectar so sweet
One flew over landing on my hand
I felt that was what God planned.
The tiny butterflies flew away at last
I stood in awe as they went past
Waving their wings as they flew away
I realized God had blessed me today.
