Traveling the backroads away from the crowd
From all noise and cars that race
This beautiful backroad is never loud
While traveling from place to place.
Many miles are driven through valleys
Tree-lined brooks mark the way
To a place we have missed dearly
But remember today so clearly .
Traveling alone all cares are forgotten
On this backroad I feel heaven-sent
With the beauty of the countryside
God has blessed my heart with content.
When traveling the backroads slow or fast
Wonderful memories shall always remain
And dreams will enter my mind of the past
Traveling the backroads once again.
