A little child, who's filled with fear,
sleep's alone at night.

Clinging to his blanket,
there's not a soul in sight.

But, as he sleeps, his fear is gone,
he dreams so peacefully.

That little one has no idea
of the love that's shining bright.

Many little angels fly above his bed,
to calm his fears, to protect him,
to take the worry from his head.

And just before the sun will rise,

the angels still hovering above,
fly down to him, and brush his cheek,
with a kiss so filled with love.

He awakens in the morning,
his mind still filled with sweet dreams,
all the fear he had before,
had suddenly gone away.

And from this day on,
as he goes to bed each night,
that precious little one will be guarded,
with his angels loving light.
